A painful soccer experience!
Okay, so Clayton is officially the worst player on his soccer team! He is afraid of the other kids and just sort of jogs around in the back of the pack hoping to avoid getting mauled over, as he is the smallest kid on his team! Poor guy got Daddy's genes! Well I have been in denial until now, but I have accepted the fact that he was not born to be aggressive. We'll work on that. I know he is only four, but come on, he came from two competitive families, there has got to be a competitive gene in there somewhere just waiting to get out! Please, I can't watch another game like we had today! Brutal! But he does look cute in his uniform.

EASTER FUN!
Easter was a lot of fun this year, as the boys got really into hunting eggs, and hiding them too! Clayton really enjoyed his first year of dying eggs and the both enjoyed finding and opening their Easter Baskets. On a humorous note, the only person who had trouble finding his Easter Basket was Bryan, because apparently the Easter Bunny didn't hide baskets at his house as a child! Contrastingly, at Angela's house, the older you get the harder the hiding spot. Well, Bryan is 31 now, so you can see why he had trouble! The Easter Bunny is still laughing at his frustration!
Brody Turns 2
Brody turned 2 on Thursday, April 21, 2011. He absolutely loved the birthday festivities this year and of course all the attention, presents, and cake! We celebrated as a family and it was the year of the ELMO! Brody is obsessed with Elmo, getting a cake, singing toy, potty book, and pajamas, ALL Elmo! He still carries his little stuffed Elmo everywhere including to bed with him. Brody is talking a ton, using as many as 3 or 4 words to form a sentence, and his smile is infectious. He has learned parts of the happy birthday song and sang along each time someone sang to him. He definitely knows how to make trouble and drive Clayton crazy, but we love him and our home wouldn't be the same without him.

Our New Iowa Home
Come and take a photo tour of our new midwest home in Fort Dodge, IA. The house is old, the rooms are small, but we have found a way to make it home, and it definitely has character. Clayton is loving preschool and reading a ton, along with teasing his brother on a daily basis. Brody is no innocent little one either, but they make us laugh everyday. I can't believe Clayton will be in Kindergarten in less than 5 months, and Brody turns 2 in 3 weeks. Time goes by sooo fast. Clayton starts his second season of soccer next week, hopefully I'll have some photos soon.
